What makes a good Wan 3.0 Prime prompt?
A good Wan 3.0 Prime prompt describes one continuous shot in plain sentences: the subject and what it does, the setting and the light, the camera move, the sound you want and what to leave out. On this site a prompt can be up to 2,000 characters. In our four recorded clips the picture was the strong part; in three of them the model added music instead of the sound effects the prompt named.

How to structure the prompt
Write the prompt as a short description of one shot. The four prompts we recorded all contain the same five parts, and each is three or four sentences long.
- Subject and action. One subject, one clear action: “A white horse gallops along a misty beach at dawn.”
- Setting and light. Where it is and what the light does: “wet black stone,” “soft pink light,” “the last orange light.”
- Camera. One move per shot: “Slow push-in,” “Low tracking shot running beside it,” “Macro close-up.”
- Sound. Name what you want to hear: “hoofbeats and surf,” “gentle dripping sounds.”
- Constraints. Close with what to leave out: “One continuous shot, no text or logos.”
What we saw with sound. In three of our four clips the model added music instead of the sound effects the prompt named. The furnace prompt came back with soft music, the horse prompt with electronic music and the perfume prompt with piano. The surf prompt came back with a loud, continuous roar. Four clips is a small sample, so treat this as something to watch for, not a rule.
What we saw with faces. In the glassblower clip the worker’s face and hair change partway through the shot. We have not tested ways to prevent that. If a face matters, plan for more than one attempt. Each finished clip is charged.
Text on screen. Our recorded prompts all end with “no text” or “no text or logos.” Alibaba’s Wan 3.0 announcement says “audio texture and on-screen text rendering accuracy are still improving but not yet where we want them.”
What the controls set. Length, resolution, shape and sound are chosen with the controls, not in the prompt: 5 or 10 seconds, 720p or 1080p, 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1, sound on or off.

Wan 3.0 Prime prompt examples
Prompts with a clip were run on September 27–29, 2026, at 5 seconds and 720p, and are shown with what came back. The others follow the same structure but have not been recorded here, so we cannot show you their results. All use fictional people and unbranded objects.

Prompt questions
How long can a Wan 3.0 Prime prompt be?
Up to 2,000 characters on this site. At fal.ai the model accepts up to 20,000 characters. Our recorded prompts are far shorter: three or four sentences each.
Does Wan 3.0 Prime follow sound instructions?
Not reliably in our clips. In three of four it added music instead of the sound effects the prompt named. Four clips is a small sample. If the sound matters to you, you can switch sound off at the same price.
Can I put real people or logos in a prompt?
Not a real person’s likeness without that person’s consent, and not copyrighted characters or logos. Adult content is not allowed either. The provider also runs a safety filter that can refuse a prompt. A refused job is refunded.
Do these prompts work for image to video?
Use a shorter version. With a start image the picture already sets the subject and the light, so describe only the motion, the camera and the sound. See the image to video page.
Will the same prompt give the same clip twice?
We cannot promise that. The API has a seed option, but this site does not offer seed control, and we have not tested how much two runs of one prompt differ. Each finished clip is charged.
